Full Grooming

Our Full grooming service will begin with a chat and a coat check to discuss your styling preferences and the practicality of the trim.

  • We then give your dog a warm massaging bath using natural products specific to your dog's skin and coat requirements.
  • Your dog will then be dried and brushed through, thoroughly to remove any shedding coat and tangles. Our dryers can be adjusted to ensure your dog remains comfortable as they can be quite loud.
  • We then expertly style your dog's coat as discussed within the initial consultation. If any large areas of matting are found at this time the style may need to be adjusted to ensure the health and well being of your dog.
  • We will also include a nail trim, ear clean and (cleaning of skin folds if necessary) within the full grooming service and apply any other treatments the groomer feels necessary such as paw and nose balm, teeth gel etc.

Smooth Hair grooms and Bath and brushes

Our Smooth hair grooms and bath and brush services will begin with a chat and a coat check to discuss your dog's requirements.

  • We then give your dog a warm massaging bath using natural products specific to your dog's skin and coat requirements.
  • Your dog will then be dried and brushed through, thoroughly to remove any shedding coat and tangles. Our dryers can be adjusted to ensure your dog remains comfortable as they can be quite loud.
  • Within the smooth hair groom we will also include a nail trim, ear clean and  (cleaning of skin folds if necessary) and apply any other treatments the groomer feels is necessary such us paw and nose balm, teeth gel etc.

 

Puppy Package

 

Our puppy package consists of 5 visits and sessions with our groomer. To be spread over a 5 week period. 

It is vital that puppies are introduced to their groomer and the environment whilst they are still young, however, they must have received their puppy vaccinations as we can not guarantee what pests and diseases other dogs may be bringing into the salon environment.

  • The first visit will be for 15 minutes and is a chance for the puppy to meet the groomer and explore the salon environment. We prefer for the owner to remain present for this session.
  • The second visit will be for 20 minutes and is another chance for the puppy to begin interacting with the groomer and continue to explore the environment. The groomer will begin introducing the grooming table and brushes during this visit and may provide feedback for the owner to continue at home. We prefer for the owner to remain present for this visit.
  • The third visit will be for 30 minutes and will be based around the puppy getting used to the grooming table and being brushed and combed. The groomer will also introduce the dryer and check the puppy's nails and trim if required. The groomer will assess how the puppy is doing and how their relationship is building and determine if they feel the puppy would be able to manage the owner leaving them at this or the next visit.
  • The fourth visit will be for 45 minutes and will include a brush out and a bath. A majority of puppies do struggle with the sound and feeling of the dryer and the groomer may discuss how the owner can support the puppy to get used to a hair dryer at home prior to this appointment.
  • Please be aware that your puppy may go home damp following this appointment
  • The fifth visit will be for 1 hour and will include a bath, dry, brush, nail clip and the introduction of our clippers and trimmers. Should the puppy allow, a hygiene trim maybe completed during this visit.

It is hoped that after this package the puppy would be ready for adjusted bath and brush or full grooming appointments.

Our groomer will continue to assess your puppy and how it is feeling and coping throughout every visit and adjust the package to your individual dog's requirements. You will be included and offered advice and support to enable your puppy to feel safe and calm with grooming both at home and in the salon environment.
